What is your best ever Massage Experience?

Last month, the family (my boyfriend's family plus me) had a great day at Anvaya Cove. Aside from the short zip-line activity (100ft yun pero medyo short lang kaya nabitin kami) and an eat all you can Singaporean lunch (the food is not that outstanding, like medyo malansa yung crab nung spicy seafood nila and matigas yung chicken, pero yung iba, masarap naman, nabusog naman ako, hehe.., but masarap yung mga desserts), I had my best ever massage experience (as of now) at Anvaya's Veda Spa. You will actually have a lot of options which type of massage you want like Shiatsu, Swedish or Combination of the two, which is only worth Php600.00 if you want in a Massage Hut (it is a sort of open hut near the pool), Php 750.00 in the In-Center (which I tried, I'll explain later the room) or Php950.00 if you want in their Casitas (I haven't seen the area yet, but I bet it's much more nicer) room. They have an aroma therapy massage too which is around Php900.00 in the In-Center and Php1,100.00 at the Casitas room. Their prices is quite okay na din di ba, kasi worth it naman, promise. They also have facial and body treatment and some other packages to choose from. So after lunch around 1:30pm, we register already at the spa reception area. The receptionist is actually nice and accommodating. Since it's a bit early, I tried their sauna first for 30 minutes. The sauna's size is just perfect for 3-4 person, where at that time, I'm the only one occupying it. Had a short nap pa nga in there kasi ang aga namin nagising that day. So had a shower after, which is also really nice. Then my therapist "Mara" assist me to get into the In-Center afterwards. You need to walk in a different location at back where you can reach the In-Center. Mara is all prepared with an umbrella for us since it is pouring rain. The In-Center have a 4 or 5 (I think) separate rooms for every client. It is completely one room with a sofa, table, a shower area and a massage bed. The massage bed is softer compare to other massage bed na naexperience ko and may hand rest pa sya. Meaning yung hand mo, hindi nakapatong sa bed, kasi yung patungan ng ulo, solo lang. So pag i massage ka sa shoulder, hindi yung nababaon na lang mga kamay at shoulders mo.

So Mara started the whole massage session. Yung oil nila, mabango and hindi malagkit. She have a different technique, usually, sa back ang massage di ba. Eto, stretch strech muna yung back. Ako kasi pag nagpapa massage, gusto ko tumutunog talaga yung mga buto ko. So in here, press press muna sya sa back, start pa lang, naku, tumunog na yung back ko. Super sarap ng sound. Hahaha.. Then after ng mga bone cracking part, sa legs sya nag start mag massage then at the back where she gave more time massaging it. And what is new for me, is the hotdog pillow na super soft. Nilalagay sya sa feet, sa ilalim ng ankle, para pag minamassage yung legs mo, hindi nababaon yung feet mo na in fact nakaka add ng stress. Got the picture? Anyways, I'm into a hard massage kaya nung start, in ask nya ako ano type ko. So I told her medyo hard. And you know what, nakuha nya yung hard massage na gusto ko all through-out the session. Hindi nagbago, yung tipong sa start lang tapos gumagaan na later on, usually kasi ganun sa ibang spa. And by the way, Combination massage yung inavail ko. So, for the whole session, super sarap talaga! I feel more relaxed and hindi masakit sa body. I know there are some massage na relaxing but afterwards, para kang binugbog, di ba. Then after, she offered me a hot tea and left without giving an envelope or asking for a tip. Why it is a plus? kasi tip should be given ng kusa kung nagustuhan mo yung service. Hindi yung, parang you have no other choice talaga but to give something.

But ofcourse, I gave a nice tip for Mara. Best massage ever nga di ba, and sinabi ko pa sa kanya yun. At least alam nya na super galing nya. So anyway, aside from the masarap na massage, plus na talaga yung room na napaka ganda. Kaya lang at that time, walang music yung room. There's a speaker, I think dapat may music kaya lang nung sa session ko, hindi naka on. So much better sana kung meron nung soothing sound na makaka relax ka talaga. But all in all, Five stars for Anvaya Cove's Veda Spa!! *****. After that, we spend some time in their library na and back to Manila. But for sure, we will visit Anvaya again for another massage session. So for Anvaya Cove's members, this is a MUST TRY!!
